Gift Your Favorite Photos With Mail Pix! Review + Giveaway!

This week I had the pleasure of ordering several photo products from MAILPIX.COM, which is an online company that allows you to print out photos and customize MANY pretty and practical, giftable items such as mugs, mouse mats and calendars!

For the purpose of review I received a travel mug, a regular mug, several magnets, a calendar, jewelry box, mouse mat AND 100+ photo prints in 4x6 and 5x7!

I was able to customize each item as I saw fit and I have to say that I am VERY pleased with the end results for ALL items as they arrived!

The fridge magnets arrived first, with 4 larger ones and 3 smaller ones, I had some printed out with photographs of my friends children as gifts for her and some with art that my husband or I have made over the years, to see how well they fared as prints instead of classic photos. - I am happy to report that all 7 of the magnets turned out perfect and will make wonderful additions to any fridge!

The regular sized 4x6 prints turned up next and like with most photographic prints they turned up as expected, well packaged and undamaged in the mail, wonderful quality and clear, crisp prints! Just as I wanted! The larger 5X7 photos, of which there were several, also turned out great! No fussiness or blurring, perfect!

Next to arrive was my calendar! I was extremely excited to see how that turned out as I had taken, once again, several works of art and photography that my husband and I have produced over the years and sorted them throughout the calendar. I spent quite a lot of time on the Mail Pix site in order to do this, but it was VERY WELL worth it!

Each calendar month plays host to ONE picture, but you can mix and match photos and include several on one page if you so wish! I personally wanted to used one per month to showcase our work, which is why I limited the photos. I uploaded larger, better quality photos for the larger works and the results are certainly better than I had expected!

Here are some of the examples from selected months:

The last package I received contained the 2 cups, a jewelry box and a mouse pad - all of which printed perfectly well! The travel mug has all of my children on it, which includes my dog! The mug has 2 photos of my doggy on it also and the jewelry box has a pretty photo of my daughter and I (which is appropriate because the box is a gift for her to store her little bits and pieces of Jewelry that her nana keeps bestowing upon her each time we visit!) .

The mouse mat was something I was a little skeptical about because I had used a photo that I had taken from a piece of collage artwork that I had made several years ago and had that printed on it! I wasn't too sure how well it would print out as I hadn't tried anything like that with this particular piece of art before BUT, the result? PERFECT! I absolutely love it and am now considering printing off a few more as gifts this year for Christmas or other occasions, where something a little personal might be in order - I do love gifting my artwork as I know no one else right now has this on a mouse pad, it is UNIQUE and I LOVE that!

Overall I am thoroughly pleased with the outcome of every single one of the items ordered over at Mail Pix and I would definitely use them again! The only gripe I had was that the uploads were a little slow, but actually, it was wel worth the wait on the larger files for the quality of the finished product!

Speaking of products! The good folk over at Mail Pix would like to give ONE of Mom's Gone Bronson's lucky readers a $20.00 credit towards ANY purchase on their site, which is enough to buy a calendar, mug, magnets or prints (among other items) of your own and which will make for some wonderful gifts or keepsakes!

To enter is simple! Just open up the rafflecopter below and like, follow and comment for entries and you're in! There is no mandatory entry so you can do as many or as few as you like and all entries will count! - The giveaway will run through to December 9th and the winner will be selected by December 10th and will have 48 hours to claim their prize! This should leave you enough time to order your goodies in time for Christmas (postal services permitting!) and create some smiles!

Note: Mail Pix is responsible for the fulfillment of this prize, not Mom's Gone Bronson! You will need to sign up for a Mail Pix account, which is free, in order to receive your credit to your account. You will not receive money, paypal or any alternative - prize will be Mail Pix account credit only. Thank you!

GOOD LUCK!

*wink* *wink* Kiss® Ever PRO Lashes!

I recently had the pleasure of trying out a set of Kiss® Ever PRO Lashes for FREE courtesy of Influensters VoxBox 2012!

Having never worn false lashes before, and having quite long ones of my own already, it was a little tricky to apply them at first, but I gave it a go and the result wasn't too bad! The second attempt was a LOT better and they looked pretty good - full, very full, and just what you would want and need in a false lash!

These lashes are great on a night out or special occasion and are reusable, which makes them worth the money you pay!

You can pick up a pack of these lashes in almost any drug store or superstore such as Walmart and they will last you a good run when used properly and well cared for!

I am giving these 8/10 because they were great but not really meant for me with my long, thick crazy lashes, but WONDERFUL none the less!

ENJOY!

The Bzz is Here: Covergirl Blast Flipstick!

Yesterday, I received 3 free Covergirl Blast FlipStick lip colors in the mail as part of my most recent BzzAgent Bzz kit try and tell, which I have been quite excited about since I got the O.K for the campaign!

Two lipsticks in one, the Blast Flipstick has a bold color one end and a shimmery color on the other, allowing you to mix and match shades with its unique "ultra blendable" formula for hundreds of different looks and accents for many occasions!

Of the 13 colors currently available, I received:

* 840 - Stunner
* 855 - Minx
* 820 - Vixen

All relatively dark shades, I will admit that I was a little put off at first as in recent years I have tended to gravitate towards pinks and pearlescent shades but when mixed a little for a softer shade they all actually have a nice effect.

These would be great for dressing up for a night out or a fancy function and the lighter colors would be perfect for day-to-day use - especially those lighter pinks and violets!

I am going to give these a whirl over the holidays and see if I can jazz things up a little! I will bring you results as I go along!

Did you receive the Bzz Kit for Covergirl Blast Flipsticks? Which ones did you get? How do you like them!? I would love to know!

Pumpkin Cake! (All you need is a box cake and a can of pumpkin!)

This week I decided to see what it would be like to make a yellow cake mix with a can of organic pumpkin! I thought it might work out, seeing as everyone seems to be able to make a cake mix with just about anything these days, thanks to the wonders of Pinterest and global sharing!!

I popped open the box of cake mix, crunched open the can of pumpkin and mixed the two together with a half cup of water for moisture and a pinch of cinnamon and nutmeg! I then split the mix between two cake tins and let the kids lick the bowl! There are NO EGGS in this so you can let the kids go to town!!

I put both of the cake rounds into the oven and kept an eye on them closely! I was not overly sure how long they were going to take to cook because of the pumpkin, but actually it only took 5 more minutes than if I had mixed the cake mix as directed!

When the cake was firm to the touch I took it out and left it on the side to finish cooking through - too much time in the oven and I am pretty sure you will end up with a chewy cake, so use your instincts and feel as you go along to suit your needs and preferences!

When COMPLETELY COOLED, place one half of the cake on a plate, frost the top lightly. place the second half of the cake on the top and frost the entire top of the cake and around the sides. Be generous!

Place in the fridge for an hour or so to firm up the frosting and VOILA! Cake is ready to go!

Serve in thin slices as it might be quite heavy, but it is totally flavorful and moist! It is also one that I am sure you will want to make over and over again!

Serves well with a nice cup of tea!!

ENJOY!

Got Goat Milk Stuff?

I recently had the absolute pleasure of trying out some soap from Goat Milk Stuff, which is a family run company that provides an array of soaps and other goodies enriched with the goodness of Goats Milk - which, incidentally, comes from their very own Alpine Dairy Goats, raised on their very own farm!

I was lucky enough to receive 2 half bars of soap, which were of a very generous size and 1 full bar of soap too! Each of the soaps arrived in a little drawstring bag of its own and the delicious smell could be enjoyed before the bags were even touched!

Upon opening, the wave of scent flooded the air with a sweet, delightful smell of each, one after the other, giving a feeling of warmth and luxury before you've even thought to get in the tub!

With a huge selection of soap, which is available in many fragrances and specials for the season, scents range from the simple delight of Almond, to the interestingly designed and aptly named Dirt scent, for hunters! There are also unscented soaps for those of you who would prefer the luxury without the smell and travel sized soaps for taking it on the road!

The scents, which I received were:

*Honeysuckle
*Almond
*Oatmeal, Milk & Honey

I tried out the Almond first and the scent brought a wave of memories from way back when I used to buy [a now defunct] bath essence that made you feel as though you were bathing in milk! The sensuous feeling you gain with the soap is the same and, most importantly, it did not dry out my skin like most soaps do!

I am definitely a body wash enthusiast for the most part and I do avoid soaps like the plague, BUT! After Goat Milk Stuff was recommended to me I had to give it a try, AND I am not in the least bit disappointed! It is wonderful, and affordable too!!

But wait! There is MORE! Not only do Goat Milk Stuff provide soap but they also provide other little luxuries like bath bombs, lip balms, gift sets and shaving soap! There is something here for EVERYONE of all ages and I personally adore their lip balm! It doesn't crack my lips or need 10 re-applications a day like some might and my lips certainly approve!

We ALL love a little pampering and, with Christmas right around the corner, we could certainly appreciate a little slice of Goat Milk Stuff goodness with our new cozy slippers and old reindeer sweaters this year, so what better way than to give than with a little gifting of soap! Those you love will adore it and you could even sneak some into a little secret stocking of your own! It doesn't get much better than that!

With great soaps, great scents, wonderful staff and super-fast delivery, Goat Milk Stuff hits the spot this year with such ease it is hard to imagine that I haven't used them before!

They easily achieve a solid 5/5 stars from Mom's Gone Bronson as Goat Milk Stuff makes it on to our list of fabulous ideas for Christmas gifts and stocking fillers for 2012!

Check them out today over at http://goatmilkstuff.com for more information about the Jonas family and their wonderful products and, finally, ENJOY!

**Disclaimer: I was not monetarily compensated for this review but I was provided with several soaps and a lip balm, which did not affect my opinion and my views are my own! Thank you!

Re-use, Recycle! BOOM!

When I had my daughter back in 2011, a good friend of ours came over and presented me with this AMAZING organizer for diapers and creams and what-not and has kept a little section of my life in order here and there ever since!

These days though, the organizer is used mostly for my sprays, make-up, creams and everything that usually ends up spaced out around the house driving me barmy!!

I just wanted to pass on the idea that just because something is made to do one job, doesn't mean it can't do another - baby storage/organizers can be re-gifted to a new mom or dad, used to store your own toiletries OR even paint and brushes OR perhaps even to organize under the kitchen sink with a little pop of pizzazz and color!

Seriously! Re-use and recycle and the possibilities are endless!! I would LOVE to hear some thoughts on other ways to re-use and recycle in the home, so show me your ideas! Get creative!

These Thrifty Shoes Were Made for Walking!

So! I have the biggest feet on the planet - O.K. I don't, but it must be close at an 11.5/12 U.S shoe, which isn't really all that much of a surprise when you learn that I am a giraffe at an amazing 6 feet tall!

Now, being tall, wide and with large feet, it isn't my looks that bother me but the fact that buying clothes can be really stressful and tiring considering many companies seem to think that people who are 6 foot tall must be slim and people who are a size 18-20 must be fat. Well, truth is, a lot of tall people are a size 18 and SURPRISE! Size 0 is NOT the "norm" - I know, shocker, eh!?

Anyhow, most of the time it can be a chore at the least to shop for clothes that don't give me a floral, pregnant or manly look and I am less likely to find ANYTHING pre-owned for a bargain price when it comes to clothes, BUT! This week, while I shopped the thrift stores for a pair of Mary-Janes for my daughter, I came across a pair of AMAZING shoes in MY SIZE!

After recovering from shock and disbelief, I slipped off my manly sneakers and slipped on one of the shoes! Like Cinderella and her glass slipper, it fit! For a mere $5 I hobbled in my dainty womanly shoes to the check out and paid for those suckers quicker than you can say "we Bronson'd this deal!" and they were MINE!

To top of the deal, they still had their price tags on and have never bean worn!

SCORE!

Get out, get into the thrift stores and SAVE MONEY! You never do know what you might find!!

Enjoy!!

Roasted or Baked Butternut Squash Seeds! YUM!

This past week I was presented with a butternut squash and told to do pretty much whatever I wanted with it - turns out, vegetable chili tastes DELICIOUS when you throw in some squash! I know, I did! BUT! I am not here to talk about the chili for now, I actually wanted to share the awesomeness that is the SEEDS of said butternut squash!

"SEEDS?!" you ask? YES! The butternut squash houses seeds similar to those found in a pumpkin but not in quite as vast a quantity. I wasn't really sure if you could roast them but after a quick look online I found nothing but positive feedback about the fabulous taste of a roasted squash seed and so off I went and roasted them up to see for myself!

Now, to roast the seeds is pretty simple and can be flavored sweet or salty - I opted for salty this time around but I would love to try them with cinnamon! I simply rinsed the seeds, placed them on parchment paper, salted them and threw on a little cayenne pepper for kick and roasted them in the oven on 300 degrees for about 15 minutes until crisp and golden!

Simple, quick and DELICIOUS! I only wished there had been MORE!

Give them a try next time you pick up some squash!

YUM!

Not Your Mother's® Kinky Moves™ Curl Defining Hair Cream

As part of the Influenster VoxBox 2012 I received, for free, a trial size package of Not Your Mother's® Kinky Moves™ Curl Defining Hair Cream and I have to say that I am very pleased with the result that I have seen after only one use.

The cream is not incredibly sticky and goes in very smooth! Curls are left bouncy and loose, without clumps and with a little splash of shine! With my hair being so thick and hard to manage on a good day, I was surprised at how well the cream stood up to the task and certainly happy with the results.

The only complaint I have, if there has to be any at all, is that the scent was a little overwhelming, but you do get used to it as it wears off a little through the day and the look is well worth it!

8/10! Thank you, NYM!

Share your opinions today, with Influenster!

Earlier this year I signed up to a website called Influenster, which allows you to share your opinions on anything from pets to pampering and everything in between - sometimes even with the help of a little product testing, gratis, in your own home!

Having been recently updated, the Influenster site is now smoother than ever and collecting badges and advancing through the ranks has never been better! With the opportunity to test and talk about certain items (like with the recent VoxBox 2012!) it will not only have you on your toes but it will certainly see you coming back for more!

To see what you're missing, and to sign up if you'd so like, you can head on over to Influenster by clicking HERE now!
