Build-A-Bear Review and Giveaway! Ends 11/26/13

Review by Life of a Home Mom

It’s that time of year again! Build-a-Bear Workshop has recently announced their newest Holiday friends and boy do they have a crazy amount of awesome for you this year including: Wishes Santa, Merry Mouse, Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer, Clarice and of course Frosty the Snowman. Who doesn't love their Holiday offerings and have a small collection already? I could not wait to get one of these in my home for a review and to be honest I’m in love with Build-a-Bear products, even more after Nicoli got his Hug-a-Cub set. I let Little A help me make my final decision.

As a lover of books so for me this was an easy decision, I’d get Wishes Santa ($20), Merry Mouse ($18) and the book “Twas the Night Before Christmas” written by Michelle Bain ($3.99). To me, this was perfect for my family as we always read this story during the holiday season and I figured I’d have two that would adore them. I actually didn’t realize they would both be big, I thought the mouse would be more of the small fry edition so I was quite pleased to see he was the same size as the Santa. The Wishes Santa comes with his signature red outfit ($12.50), wire frame glasses (not cheap looking ones either but $4.50 on the site) and his black boots ($7.50). Santa could have came with a “Ho, Ho, Ho” chip ($5) but I had not realized!. The Merry Mouse is equally adorable, he’s a big gray mouse with cute red pajamas with snowflakes on them and his red Santa hat.

When the Build-a-bear Workshop package arrived Little A was so excited to see it he sat right down on the couch and asked me to take photos of him with them. Later he would ask me if he could read the book to his brother, last year he first started to learn to read but this year he is able to do it a bit more without help so he loves reading to Nicoli. He did however get upset that just like him; Nicoli likes the mouse more. Sorry Santa but the mouse wins, don’t feel too bad though they love you too and even sleep with you. I must say, once again Build-a-bear has done it again, these are super soft and cuddly making it hard to put them down. I’m even typing this with the mouse in my lap. Shhh, don’t tell Little A. If these guys don’t please you they also released more winter friends such as Pinky the Penguin, Winter white polar bear, Happy Hugs Teddy and many others!
