Pacha's Pajamas: A Story Written By Nature is a cute little book by Aaron Ableman and Dave Room, about Pacha, who has a big imagination and, when she goes to sleep at night, the illustrated animals on her pajamas spring to life in her wonderful dreams! Pacha is taken on a journey to save the planet from destruction, before waking up just in time for Earth Day!
This book is interactive and for $12.95 you can buy the softcover and you can get the app to go with it, for free. With an Augmented Reality app, you can display informational videos, along with animation, when your compatible mobile device is placed over the top of the corresponding images in the book, itself.
This is a great book for 7-12 year olds, but my 4 year old, who is a book fiend and animal lover actually took very well to this book and it is perfect, for her! The subject is something she is familiar with and I supervise her reading and so it is a lot of fun to interact with her, our reading sessions and with the book through the app.
I would definitely recommend this as a stocking stuffer, or a gift in its own right, this year as books make magical gifts of little worlds where inquisitive minds can roam free and explore their own imagination, just like Pacha, with her pajamas!
This book can educate and open the mind of a young child and leave a road for conversation about our world and all of us in it! What a wonderful gift to give for that alone!
I would love to know if you have read this book, and what you think! Feel free to leave me a comment, below!
