Crown Royal's Northern Harvest Rye, Fine Blended, Canadian Whisky

Disclaimer: I was provided with products in order to give my honest opinions. Your views and tastes may differ to mine. Please enjoy responsibly.

Here is a look at Crown Royal's Northern Harvest Rye, Fine Blended, Canadian Whisky, which is the first true rye to come from Crown Royal at a big old 90% rye.

With spicy, sweet and fruity aromas popping out on opening, it promises to give a smooth ride to match its delicate caramel color.

The first sip hits gently and evenly with a mix of lemony-orange, zesty fruitiness, a little spice and earthiness. Light enough to enjoy as it rolls over the tongue and mellows at the back of the throat to leave you with a gentle finish.

I was really impressed with the quality of this product and surprised by the smoothness in the taste, which complimented the color and expectation accordingly.

I have sampled some Canadian Whisky in the past so I did have an idea of what to expect, but really was delighted with just how rounded and delicate it was.

Perfect on its own, on the rocks, or with a little crushed ice and lime or lemon, fine with a little cola but in my opinions far better without, just as it comes.

Crown Royal really do seem to have hit a home run with this one as it looks great in the box, better in the bag and then the design of the bottle itself is a catch to the eye. A gift you can be proud of giving and a bottle you will want to explore, you can't do much wrong with a purchase that will set you back about $30 or so, give or take, depending on where you buy it.

I can imagine sitting out by a fire, toasting in the New Year with this bottle and a few good friends who can appreciate a good drop. Warming the insides and taking in the moment. Very well received and very well done for this first from Crown Royal.

To find out more about Crown Royal, you can visit their website, HERE. You can also find them across social media, including Instagram, HERE, too.

Please enjoy responsibly.

George Dickel's Premium No. 12 Sour Mash Whisky

Disclaimer: I was provided with products in order to give my honest opinions. Your views may differ to mine. Please enjoy responsibly. Thank you!

George Dickel Premium No. 12 Whisky

Here is a stiff drink that will welcome in 2017 with a kick - George Dickel's No. 12 Tennessee Sour Mash Whisky.

Straight out of the bottle the aroma hits you with a bang. A strong, present and ready to go is standard here with an invitation to come and play.

On the rocks, with nothing mixed in, this one gets you from the beginning, hitting your lips with a "hey, i'm here", broad, warming flavors, grabbing the back of your throat with hints of peppery vanillas and caramels, even a little honey or sweet sugar in this fine hitting drink with a bit of a growly finish.

This is not a drink to be dainty with, it means business and it hits your right where you need it. Perfect just as it is, to put a little hair on your chest and to warm the nights on some cold rocks. I also really enjoy this one in a little coffee.

This particular blend mixes very well with lemon and lime sparkling water, or a little lemonade. It is fine with cola, too, but for the real deal, on its own, on the rocks is best for my own personal taste buds and the coffee makes for a perfect digestif (after dinner drink).

For some more complex recipes, you can head on over to the website and check out the Dickel Tennessee Tuxedo, the Dickel Frozen Mint Shake or the Dickel Whisky Sour, which is absolutely delicious!

Bring this to your party, give it to your host, you're going to have such a good time and they are going to thank you for it! If whisky is your thing and you like it dark and enticing, then this is for you!

Cheers!

DANZKA Vodka, for a Danish Touch to the New Year!

Disclaimer: I was provided with products in order to give my honest opinions. Your views may differ to mine. Please drink legally and responsibly. Thank you.

DANZKA Vodka.

Here is  line of imported vodka, made from 100% whole grain, that I think you might like and which I had the chance to try for myself, this week, too. I have never heard of this brand until now and I wasn't sure what to expect but I liked the simplicity in presentation and wanted to give it my best shot.

I prefer flavored vodka, if I drink it at all, so I tried out the Danzka CranRaz, which is flavored naturally with its cranberry and Raspberry flavors for an interesting and tasteful drink, well enjoyed on its own, on the rocks or with a little dash of lemonade for a simple, longer drink.

I wasn't sure what to expect from the plain vodka as this isn't my kind of drink at all, but I was recently told that if a plain vodka works in egg-nog, it'll work in anything, so I went straight to the egg-nog that I happened to have in my fridge for Christmas and poured a little vodka in it.

I sat back and thought about my decision and wondered how it would taste and gave it a sniff. It wasn't too bad and so I went for it and took a sip. Guess what?! It tasted GREAT!

I love egg-nog, I love it spiked a little, but have never even tried to spike it this way before and so I was pleasantly surprised when it actually worked out. Given that, I decided that perhaps it was actually time to give the plain vodka a go on its own, so poured a little into a glass and furnished it with some ice and gave it a try.

I am not, like I have mentioned before, a vodka person, never really felt the need to head towards it in the store and would usually pick up a bourbon or something like that because I feel like most vodkas that I have tried tasted like petrol or something that could burn a hole in your mouth and so have not ventured too far afield with the vodka.

Did I like it?! I sure did! You can definitely tell that this is a premium quality vodka and it really shines through in the way it mixes well with just about anything. I introduced this brand to my friend who thoroughly enjoyed it more on its own than in a mix, but I preferred it with a little lemonade and ice for a longer drink.

DANZKA, to me, is very light compared to some other brands I have tried and doesn't have that heavy-fuel-filled bite to it that a lot of the cheaper vodkas do have. I couldn't drink it straight for long, but I could definitely handle a shot of it here and there at a party or get-together, too.

I did introduce this brand to a group of friends over Christmas and they all seemed to comment on the design of the bottle and that it looked pretty fashionable and that it might even be great to use it for something else once the bottle is done, so extra points for that to the company!

There are more flavors to choose from than days of the week, too, which is always a bonus - flavors including citrus or grapefruit flavors, which are refreshing and new to me, and which I don't think I've seen in a vodka before.

Overall, I was pleased with the taste and quality of this vodka, found it to mix well, which is even better, and it was well received by friends and family.

If you would like to know more about this brand, you can visit their website for more information, here! You can find them on Twitter, too.

I would love to know if you've tried DANZKA before and what you thought of it! Pick some up for your party, tonight!

Please enjoy legally and responsibly!

Trail's End Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey Hits The Nail on the Head!

Disclaimer: I was provided with products in order to share my honest opinions. Your views may differ to mine. Please enjoy responsibly. Thank you!

TRAIL'S END KENTUCKY STRAIGHT BOURBON WHISKEY

One drink that I love is Bourbon. If I were to walk in to a bar and be told that I could have pretty much anything I'd like then the first thing i'd ask for is usually a bourbon and coke to take the "edge" off if the drink is on the cheaper side, or on the rocks if it is a little more expensive.

Now, I am not an expert on bourbon, I don't drink it enough for that, but I have tried enough in my lifetime (having used to live and work in a bar) to know a good one when I find it - and Trail's End hits the nail on the head with this one.

Opening the bottle, an air of peaches, sweet florals, a little caramel in there, too - nothing overpowering, but all-together very inviting on the nose.

On its own, without a mixer, I get a creamy, light, chocolaty and slightly nutty flavor with a warming touch on the tongue and a slight hit on the back of the throat tinged with a little low spice as it goes down. It is SO smooth that you could easily enjoy one or two shorts without another thought, but if you love a longer drink, it does mix well, too.

"Trail’s End® is an ultra premium, Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey finished with Oregon Oak." - (hrdspirits.com)

I mixed a shot of Trail's End with a little cola, nothing too much, but enough to taste and then I tried a longer drink with extra cola and lots of ice. The flavor kept well all ways, but I just adore this on its own, without anything added at all for a nice, light, Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey I could absolutely get into any day of the week and for any occasion.

At about $49 a bottle, I had high expectations of Trail's End and really didn't know what to expect. However, from start to finish, Trail's End really scores top numbers across the board from me and wins in every direction.

I would absolutely turn up to someone's party with this for New Year, or gift for a special occasion. It is a drop meant to be shared and which could easily help get memories made.

To find out more about Trail's End and the story behind it, you can head on over HERE. You can also find out more on Twitter, here, too!

One of my new favorite's this year and would be happy to see in 2017 with this one by my side!

Please enjoy responsibly, but enjoy all the same - one you won't want to miss out on, and which you'll definitely want to visit with again.

Celebrate with EFFEN VODKA - Raspberry or Green Apple Flavors!

Disclaimer: I was provided with products in order to give my honest opinions. Your views may differ to mine. Please enjoy responsibly. Thank you.

If you enjoy a little vodka to welcome in your new year, then these flavors are something to consider this year, with EFFEN VODKA.

My friends and I were able to try out the GREEN APPLE and the RASPBERRY flavors, which are both light and flavorful. The raspberry flavor I could drink on its own and not have to mix but put on the rocks and away we go. The GREEN APPLE flavor is just as easy to drink but I really enjoyed this mixed with a little lemonade.

I did try out a few concoctions to see if there were any mixes that you might enjoy and some of the things we tried to mix in were: orange, lemonade, cranberry juice, cola, a sports drink, lime juice, energy drinks and tonic water.

The orange was alright but not for me. The lemonade worked well with both flavors and was light and refreshing. Cranberry juice worked a lot better with the raspberry flavor but not so much with the green apple, so I thought - but my friend did like it in the green apple more, so it will depend on your taste buds.

Weirdly enough, my favorite mixer was the sports drink, which was a well-known sports drink that was only mixed for fun, at first, but which actually did work a lot better than any of us expected.

The cola was a hit all around, held the flavor of both the green apple and of the raspberry flavors and the tonic water was a hit with most, but not with me as I do not like tonic water to begin with, so that was never going to be high up there on my list of things to mix anything with, period. If you do like tonic water though, you may enjoy that with a little EFFEN in it.

I tell you what did hit the spot for me and that was (in a tall glass) 1/3 RASPBERRY EFFEN,  2/3rds of cranberry juice, a little ice and a dash of lime juice. You can shake it up or stir it, but either way works well and this would be my go-to with this flavor.

For some more complex concoctions you can find recipes on the EFFEN website, here. You can also follow them on social media, including EFFEN's Facebook page.

Overall, our opinions across the board were that this vodka is a fun, flavorful drink that is clearly on the higher end of vodkas, that you would love someone to bring to your party and one that you could gift knowing that it was going to be widely enjoyed. Retailing for about $25, depending on where you shop, and worth the money you pay for this premium vodka, that won't leave a bad taste in your mouth the next morning.

Please enjoy responsibly!

Happy New Year!

Camus VS Elegance, a Cognac for the New Year

Disclaimer: I was provided with products in order to give my honest opinions. Your views may differ to mine. Please enjoy responsibly.

New year is a stones throw away and the holiday's are not over yet.

I had the chance to try out Camus VS Elegance and, as someone who can really appreciate and enjoy a nice Cognac - Camus does not disappoint.

with a light caramel-gold color right out of the bottle and onto some rocks, this is a smooth, light and delightful drop that I would honestly drink alone without a mixer because it is so delicate and refreshing on the tongue.

This drop fills the air with a fruity, sweet note that doesn't overpower and which lends a boost to the taste as you sip it down.

Think of a little vanilla, caramel, cinnamon in the background, a easy to sip, lots of character and a gift that keeps on giving - A bottle of which can rage from about $27 to $45 or more depending on where you buy. No matter what you pay for it, it is easily worth every penny and one of the best Cognacs I've had the pleasure to try.

If you were to mix it, though, for a longer drink, perhaps a cola would suffice or (as Camus's website suggests) a little green tea, whichever you prefer. I wouldn't mix this down too much as you wouldn't want to drown the flavor. It really is wonderful just on its own.

Cognac reminds me of nights I spent with friends in good times living in England. I rarely drink it these days, but this is such a warming and comforting drink that I would be delighted to gift this to someone for a holiday or special event and would happily see in the new year with a short glass or two of Camus VS Elegance and some festive cheer.

To check out more about Camus Vs Elegance, you can visit HERE. You can also find them on social media, too - Twitter is my preferred platform (@CamusCognac).

Please remember to enjoy responsibly and savor every sip!

Happy New Year!

Gift Yourself with Timex This Season

Disclaimer: I was given items to review in return for my honest opinions. Your views may differ to mine. Thank you.

What better way to gift this year than with a new watch from Timex?

Reliable, loyal and well made, Timex has been a staple in many homes for long enough to have a great reputation in my household and I really enjoy this brand.

With watches for everyone, I got to choose a men's and a women's piece and I think these speak elegant and wearable, stylish and useful for everyday wear.

I especially love this turquoise color on mine, which is a color I enjoy and this watch is great when i'm out walking or getting about - I don't usually take my phone with me and I do rely on a watch for time or else I have no idea what is going on and/or where I need to be because the phone is just not something that I became accustomed to.

A watch is still a very present and needed tool and makes a fabulous accessory to any outfit so you could treat yourself to a new one and be very excited about it!

If you'd like to check out other watches by Timex, you can find them at their website, HERE, where there is also an after-holiday sale, making it all the better for your pocket, too!

These are easily fabulous gifts and made it effortlessly into our gift guide, this year!

Adesso Artists Digital Canvas at Hammacher Schlemmer #MGBHGG

Disclaimer: I was provided with products to try out to give you my honest opinions. Your views and experiences may differ to mine. Thank you.

The Artist's Digital Canvas from Adesso at Hammacher Schlemmer!

Hammacher Schlemmer is one of my favorite places to shop for unique and exciting holiday gifts and this year is no different. I was given the chance to review their best graphics tablet and it is one of the best things they've had to offer us, yet!

As a part time photographer and artist, this kind of tech is everything I love and it really helps to have a tablet that enables me to edit the things I want to use and to create new additions to the tools, borders, palettes, patterns etc that I already use.

I have a large desk, so setting up the tablet was a breeze and it fits in nicely, even though is seems big, it isn't overbearing - it is just right, and big enough for large maneuvering and great freedom of movement for my hand/arm.

The CyberTablet T12 from ADESSO is easy to set up, and jut basically plug-and-plays but there are drivers that come with it if you need them and there is a manual so you know what to do. It comes with a graphics pen and several spare tips for the pen as well as a stand so you can keep it nice, clean and in a spot where you can easily find it.

I have attempted some edits with this tablet, already and found it really easy compared to older tablets that I have tried out in the past and the extra space is a bonus. You can save to the buttons on the side and you can create and draw with different brush settings for great art pieces. Mine aren't quite finished yet and are a work in progress so I will share those when they are finally complete.

Here is an idea of how close you can get with cut outs, though - this is from my FIRST try and so even when you haven't used this set up before, it is incredibly close and easy.

It is a SMALL picture, so apologies for that, but you can see my point that even when working with smaller photos, you can get a good result. The precision was pretty spot on and it worked for what I needed so I was very happy with that.

There are programs online that are more suited to your needs with this tablet than others and it depends on what you plan to do with it to which ones are going to be best for you, but I love to work with it in basic programs like paint and then switch out the photos to a fuller editing program for the final touches.

This is great for any beginner or for someone who is familiar with the concept already and so I would definitely recommend this as a hot gift this Christmas and, as ever coming from Hammacher Schlemmer, it has a lifetime warranty, too.

To check out some of the other fabulous items Hammacher Schlemmer has on their website - like juke boxes, drones, kids trains, exercise equipment, high tech gadgets and items that you are not going to find anywhere else - go HERE!

There is truly something for everyone and this is why they are yet again part of our Christmas and Holiday gift guide and remain a sturdy favorite!

Happy Gifting!

Nonni's Biscotti Makes THE Perfect Treat #MGBHGG

Disclaimer: I was provided with items in order to give my honest opinions. Your views may differ to mine. Thank you!

I love Biscotti and it is no secret. I try to keep them to a minimum these days because I don't overdo it on treats, but my whole family can appreciate the deliciousness of a Nonni's Biscotti.

I recently got to try out several different flavors from Nonni's, including pumpkin spice, which I've tried in just about everything before, but never Biscotti - suffice to say, it was a hit, I love it, I just don't think you can go wrong with pumpkin spice EVERYTHING.

My children loved the gingerbread variety and these would make a delicious addition to a stocking this Christmas - and you could even leave a few out for Santa instead of traditional cookies. They all come in individual wrappers, so they'll keep better overnight, too and won't go to waste, or have you rush to eat them so to prove that Santa was there! If, of course, you do the Santa thing at Christmas.

Of course, the best way to eat Nonni's Biscotti is by dipping them in coffee, which makes them deliciously moist and yummy and makes for a nice little treat on a break or around the office, at home or even in kids lunch boxes, with a glass of milk.

There is no way these could miss out on being included in our Holiday Gift Guide this year because they are just great for everything! Friend's come over? Give them a treat. Need something in the stockings? Give them Nonni's Biscotti. Need to take something with you to a friend's house over the holiday? Great! Take a box of Nonni's Biscotti and you're good to go, fantastic.

Check out the full range of flavors from Nonni's by heading over to their website, here and also keeping an eye on them, on social media.

Dancing Moon Coffee for Xmas Stockings! #MGBHGG

Disclaimer: I was provided with products in exchnage for my honest opinions. Your views may differ to mine. Thank you!

For all your coffee loving friends, the Dancing Moon Coffee Company has something to perk everybody up this christmas, and it tastes so good!

I recently got to try out the Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee, Ethiopian Yirgacheffe and the Full Moon Gourmet Blend, each of which has its own distinct flavor.

I personally love the Full Moon Gourmet Blend, which is great with a little milk and sugar. My son enjoyed the Jamaica Blue Mountain single cup packs, which are perfect when you get up in the morning and just want to grab a cup and go.

I have tried the Ethiopian Yirgacheffe before and it never ceases to please the taste buds, with a nice bold aroma - especially right after grinding the beans.

If there is a coffee lover in your family then this is the perfect gift to give this Christmas and fits nicely inside a stocking, too!

Twisted Shotz for Your Holiday Party! #MGBHGG

Disclaimer: I was provided with products in order to give my honest opinions. Your views may differ to mine. Thank you!

If you are looking to perk up your christmas party this season, then Twisted Shotz has you covered with tasty concoctions like Washington Apple, Whipped Chocolate, B52 and lots more to keep you and your guests more than happy.

You can pick up packs of 15 shots or small packs of 4, or combination of both and impress your guests with the range of flavors, which really are something to smile about - especially the Whipped chocolate one, which is a favorite of mine along with the Rattlesnake Twisted Shot.

These shots come individually sealed so you can have just one and know that you aren't leaving several bottles of anything open on your shelf - instead, you drink and take it or leave the next one, knowing that they are all still sealed and put away wherever you keep your adult beverages.

Not only do these look and taste colorful/tasty, but there is no glass, less mess and a great time to have by all - as long as you drink responsibly, which I highly recommend!

These Twisted Shotz not only make a great addition to your party, but they do also make a great gift in their own right. So, attending a party this season? Why not take some along as your gift to the party host or maybe as a gift to your secret Santa this year? I would definitely be happy to be gifted a few tasty Twisted Shotz for Christmas.

Disclaimer: I was provided products in exchange for my honest opinions and your views may differ from mine. Thank you!

Curtain & Bath Outlet has been one of my favorite sites for last minute gifts since I found them a couple of years ago and so it is no surprise that they make an appearance in this years Holiday Gift Guide.

Specializing in curtains, drapes and window treatments, but also offer much more with sheets and bedding and home decor that will also make for fabulous gifting.

Here is a nice bed set that you might like to pick up as a gift for a relative who seems to have everything, someone who likes a little style or someone who can appreciate a nice new set of sheets from Curtain & Bath Outlet.

This particular set is called "Sally" and is a red, blackish blue and white patterned set that brings your room to life. I personally love it, which is why I chose this one, but it looks even better in my room than it looked on the website, so top marks for that, too!

This set screams comfort to me and there is truly nothing like a new set of sheets on your bed. This is the second set that I have had from Curtain & Bath Outlet and they have not disappointed me yet. My husband likes a thicker set, but I love this warm and cozy set that brightens up the room - great for me because this means I usually get my own covers and he hogs all the others, so win-win.

The Sally quilt set is available in Twin, Full/Queen or King sizes and cost around $39.99 for the quilt and 2 pillow cases. I also got to try out some nice, white and comfy sheets, too, which I can NOT get enough of - some of the snuggliest sheets ever and I need MORE!

There are so many great curtains, accessories and things that you might like to brighten your home with that it is well worth checking Curtain & Bath Outlet out at any time of year, but it is always great to find a gift that keeps on giving, which you can find here!

Even better, though - the great folks at Curtain & Bath Outlet want to offer one of our lucky readers a $25 gift code to use towards a purchase on their website! How nice is that? That would go a long way towards a new quilt, set of curtains or sheet set and/or would make a great Christmas gift in and of itself. SO...

STEM Code & Go Robot Mouse Activity Set from Learning Resources! #MGBHGG

As a homeschooling mom, I am constantly on the look-out for fun and educational ways to teach the children. When I was given the chance to check out this Code & Go Robot Mouse Activity Set from Learning Resources, I jumped at the opportunity.

The idea behind this set is to help kick start the learning process for basic coding and allows you to tell the mouse (who is called Colby, by the way) to go in different directions, mapping out a route from start to finish based on the structure of your maze or area of "play".

We took time to build up the play area and set out a little maze with our cheese at the end for the mouse's final destination. I showed the children how to program the mouse and, though it was a little confusing, it is easy to start to understand that if you press this for X amount of times and that for Y amount of times then the mouse will end up at point Z.

My son, who is 3, is not particularly interested in the programming process, yet, but loves to watch the mouse move around and get the cheese, so this is not an activity set meant for younger children. However, my 5 year old had a lot of fun inputting the commands for the mouse to move, figuring out new routes as the mazes changed and randomly programming the mouse to see where it might go,

There are 83 pieces in this set, which is enough to make all of the suggestions on the cards and to ignite a child's curiosity and imagination, while having fun and learning at the same time.

My daughter has been able to learn how to input the code for the mouse all by herself now, and is working on some of the more complex cards, but she really enjoys the reward of watching that mouse go exactly where she wants it to be. Nutrisystem week 18 Update! #NSNation

Discalimer: I was provided with products in exchange for my honest opinions based on personal experiences. Your views and experiences may differ to mine. Thank you.

Here we are, so many weeks in and it has been a really long few weeks past, to say the least - holiday food, party season, you name it, which all isn't helped at all by the fact that I have been on a plateau for so long it is hard to even remember.

HOWEVER. That being said, the scales actually moved in the right direction this week and I am now at 265.4lbs, which is a huge cry from the 298lbs that I was when I started this journey.

It is sometimes hard to stick to eating the food that you are given on Nutrisystem - you would think it would be super-easy grabbing something already there, prepared, but sometimes you really have to get organized to make it work.

If I go out during the day, which I usually do, I really have to keep an eye on the clock and make sure I keep eating on a good schedule and not play catch up when I get home. I make sure I take snacks and lunches out with me that I can eat on the go (lunch bars or something I can microwave depending on my location) and shakes if I need those, instead of the snacks.

I am trying hard to push water, which is getting harder and harder by the moment but I am trying to figure out which is best for me on this front - not overly sure quite why it is SO difficult to consume the water I need to stay hydrated and still can't quite figure out why I can't just go and get a glass of water instead of a cup of coffee. It is boggling my mind. The only way I seem to keep the water intake up, which has remained constant, is by buying water by the gallon and keeping it close by.

I am not bored of Nutrisystem, even this far into it, which is a great sign for those of you who have tried any similar plans and not quite made it this far - I don't feel bored by my choices and I never feel deprived.

I love the new crepes that are now available for breakfast and still my favorite remains to be the breakast sandwiches. I love the hamburgers and just about anything you can put in a bun, but I really love the portion sizes and now find it really hard to eat more than I need. I eat a lot of vegetables and so that was never an issue and I am never hungry.

I have been a little sad about the season changing as I am not so active in the cold but I am trying to combat that with indoor exercise machines, then outside with walks to and from places that are a little harder to get to and require an extra push.

I was worried for a moment seeing the scale not do anything, but glad it went down a bit this week. Each week is a new week to try my best and every day is a new day to achieve the best I can for me.

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving this past week -  I am truly thankful for the opportunity afforded to me by Nutrisystem, to really try and get my body back into some kind of shape. I will forever be grateful for that!

Until next time, folks!

Nutrisystem, week 16!

Disclaimer: I was provided with products in order to give my honest opinions. Your views and experiences may differ to mine. Thank you!

This is a late update for last week, week: 16.

I have been on Nutrisystem now since July and I lost quite a lot of weight, which I have been thrilled about. This week, however, was the first week that I put on a pound instead of losing or maintaining, so I have been feeling a little disheartened with that, though not too much as 1lb is better than 20lbs, so I can't really complain about that, but I would, at this point like to see the scales moving instead of hovering around the same weight every week.

Nutrisystem waffles with scramble egg and hot sauce.

I am doing everything I can, sticking to the food, having my flex meals, exercising and all that, but I will admit that this week I ate a little more cake than I should have and soda, which I don't usually drink, but it was available so I did. I have been a little less active since the air is more frigid, too, so I just need to keep motivated.

Nutrisystem Meatball Melt and Salad.

I have been tracking my food and there are days when I just don't drink enough water and so I have upped that over the last couple of days, too. My decrease in water intake seems to have come with buying a water filter! I don't know if it is just that it is more convenient to carry about a half a gallon of water at the time and just reach for it or what, but for some reason I was easily drinking far more water when I was buying it in bottles - if anyone actually has a theory on this, I'd love to hear it, because I'd prefer to save cash and use the filter, but somehow my butt would rather make a cup of coffee while i'm out in the kitchen, than pour water!? I don't know!

I'm not going to sweat it over a pound as you can put that on in a day doing just about anything, but I certainly would like to see that weight going the other way. It is a lot harder at this stage, but not impossible as I still have a long way to go! Fingers crossed!

All I know is that since a 1lb gain last week, I have been trying to push more water, trying to get more done, get more active, change it up a little and yet go back to eating breakfast, lunch and dinner and not switching that routing up, out or around, which I tried before to get over this plateau, which didn't work. I did pick up 3 new workout DVDs on Thursday, so i've been using those, too. Maybe I just need to keep pushing and keep it fresh!

Look out for the next update to see how it went...

Keep on keeping on!

NUTRiBULLET Pro - The gift That Keeps on Giving, This Season! #MGBHGG

Disclaimer: I was provided with products in exchange for an honest opinion. Your views may differ to mine, thank you!

This is the NUTRiBULLET Pro...

Those of you who are familiar with Magic Bullet may also already know about the NUTRiBULLET and its family of devices in the NUTRiBULLET range, which includes, but is not limited to, the NUTRiBULLET Pro!

The NUTRiBULLET Pro extractor comes in the color of "Champagne", boast a 900 watt motor, is 50% more powerful than the last model and also has a 32 oz capacity, which is plenty enough to keep you on the go, whatever you have planned and wherever you need to be.

I was lucky enough to get to try out the machine plus some of these NUTRiBULLET Superfood blends, which you can add in to any of your drinks, smoothies or recipes for an extra boost. There are various you can add but my favorites are the Cleansing Greens and the Super Boost, which has Chia, Goji, Cacao and Maca in it and gives a yummy (chocolately) taste!

To make a Nutri Blast/Shake/Smoothie etc, you just add all your ingredients, fill with liquid to the fill level and tighten on your blade. You then tip your cup of choice upside down and give it a little jiggle and place securely on the power-base. You'll click the cup into position, let it blast your food down until you are satisfied with the consistency you have achieved and voila! You've made yourself a delicious, nutritious drink full of yummy foods that make you happy.

I like to make very simple smoothies to sip in the day to make sure I get the vegetables I need, which I do sometimes find really hard to keep up with on the plan I am currently on, so actually the NUTRiBULLET Pro has been extremely useful for that. One of my favorite smoothies includes veggies, spinach, a little of one of the powders and a little frozen blueberries instead of ice, to thicken it up. It is simple, doesn't contain anything I can't eat and I can take it on the go.

I also have a love for soup this time of year and I do love chunky soups, but prefer them to be smooth and creamy looking, which is easy to achieve with the NUTRiBULLET Pro. I just cook up my soup, wait until it is cooled down, completely, and then give it a whirl in the NUTRiBULLET Pro and store for later. When I want to grab my soup later on, I just pour, heat in the pan and serve. Delicious!

There isn't much the NUTRiBULLET Pro can't blast smooth and that makes me happy! I enjoyed the regular NUTRiBULLET but the Pro has a bit of an edge on that and I love the bigger capacity and color of the unit, which looks nice on my counter-top and stays out all the time.

Along with the NUTRiBULLET Pro and accessories, I also did get a recipe book - you can also view more recipes online, too. There are lots of ideas to keep things fresh and I personally have used it now a few times a week since I got it, so it is one of those extremely useful machines that you didn't know you had to have, until you have it and refuse to let it go! Absolutely 10/10!

The NUTRiBULLET retails for $99.99 and this makes for an affordable gift this Holiday Season, or for any occasion.

The NUTRiBULLET Pro is part of our Holiday Gift Guide recommendations for 2016, which you can follow on social media with #MGBHGG.

Happy giving!!

Captain Morgan's Jack-O Blast Brings Pumpkin to Your New Favorite Shot! #MGBHGG

Disclaimer: I was provided with products in exchange for my opinions. Your views may differ to mine. Thank you!

Halloween might have been and gone, but there is one kind of pumpkin left that is going to be good for any time of year and that is Captain Morgan's Jack-O Blast!

It comes in this quaint bottle that looks just like a pumpkin and supplies these buttery-pumpkin shots that go down smooth and easy on a cold night.

Great to show off at a party - who doesn't like a fancy bottle? And perfect decor all on its own! This one has grabbed the attention of friends as they've rolled in for coffee this week as it has sat on my counter and they've ooh'd and aah'd over it as most of them also love pumpkin everything.

I tried this on its own and it tasted delicious, I also tasted it in a cup of coffee, which worked surprisingly well, too. I do have to recommend you drink responsibly because it is so good that you might forget you are drinking alcohol with it being so sweet, smooth and drinkable.

Definitely great party shots and absolutely going to carry through any season, so if you see it in the store, you could grab some for gifting this holiday season, too - perfect for the friend who loves pumpkin everything, and a little tipple, too! I bet it would even taste great in a rum-cake!

You can find Captain Morgan's Jack-O Blast online for more information, and across social media. I'd love to hear from you if you've tried it already - let me know what you think!

Drink-up, me-hearties!

Canvas Factory Canvas Giveaway! - #MGBHGG

Disclaimer: I was provided with products in exchange for my honest opinions. Your views may differ from mine, thank you!

CANVAS FACTORY

As someone who has taken photos her entire life, I can certainly attest to how great it feels to get that one photo every now and then that just HAS to go on the wall.

As a family of 6, it is hard sometimes to get everyone to smile at once, or to look great in a picture, which is why, when I got this one, I was so excited to be able to get it printed out and up on display.
I was even more excited when Canvas Factory offered me the chance to try out their printing service and had that special family-photo printed out for me.

I love black and white and so decided to have it printed in black and white, on a canvas that measures 16 x 20 inches and the image wraps right around this particular canvas, which is just how I wanted it.

There are several ways you can edit your photo to make it look how you like, before deciding on a final print. There are also various sizes and styles of canvas to suit your preferences, too.

I wasn't too sure about the quality that my photo would produce when I uploaded it as I haven't printed anything out this large in a long while, but I was so very pleasantly surprised with how this turned out and found a great spot for it in my hallway on the wall as soon as it arrived.

I am so thrilled to finally have a photo of all 6 of us, as usually there are 3, 4 or 5 of us, but rarely all 6 of us in the same place at the same time and so this is definitely a wonderful gift to us all.
