I do not usually feel much of an emotion when celebrities pass, but waking up to the sad news that David Bowie was with us, no more, has definitely hit me right in the heart.
Growing up in England, David Bowie was a part of my life that just always seemed to be there, just a fact, just was, just is and should be!
With his creativity and ability to constantly reinvent himself, Bowie had this enormous ability to transcend across generational boundaries, musical genres and even onto the big screen!
Labyrinth was, and still is, one of the biggest and brightest movies that continues to capture hearts and minds with its fun, fantasy feel that you can't help but adore and want to share with your children - a timeless classic, just like Bowie, himself!
I can't put into words how significant his contribution to music [and the arts] has been over the course of his lifetime, but I can definitely say that he was like this glorious bright, shining star - the likes of which we will probably not come to see again in our own lifetimes.
Thank you for the music, Mr. Bowie. You will be so very dearly missed, and forever remembered.
