Upgrade the kids with a new LGK3 phone (on Boost Mobile), just in time to go back to school!

Disclaimer:: I was given items to review in return for my honest opinions. Your views may differ from mine, thank you.

Back to school is on the way and it is time to think about furnishing the older children with a new mobile phone and [his year] you can get a lot for your money in this LGK3 phone on Boost Mobile.

The LGK3 phone is lightweight, small, has a 4.5 inch touch screen, Android 6.0 Marshmallow, a front and back facing camera, 8GB ROM and is compatible with up to 32 GB of microSDHC (not included) and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 1,1GHz Quad Core Processor.

There is plenty of room on board to download apps like facebook or twitter, plus of course Pokemon Go to stay up to date with all the other kids in school already playing the game! Your child can stay in the know and you can get in touch with them to make sure they arrived at school safely, or need a ride home. It is win-win!

There is also a bonus to going with Boost Mobile right now, too, as you can gain more data with their Growing Data Plans. What this means for you is that you can earn up to 3GB of extra high-speed data for your monthly plan just by making your payments in a timely manner.

Boost Mobile Growing Data Plans are available on the $35 Unlimited and $45 Unlimited plans, or there is also a convenient plan that costs $60 a month for unlimited high-speed data.

If you are interested in Boost Mobile's Growing Data Plans already, then you will be happy to know that with each Auto-Reboost you will also receive a nifty $5 discount on your current Boost Mobile plan once you have enrolled (in Auto Reboost) to pay automatically via card or bank account every month.

But wait, there is even more! Every third on-time payment earns an extra 500MB of high-speed data - Customers can earn up to 3GB of high-speed data after 18 on-time payments. After 18 on-time payments, customers on the $35 plan will get 5GB of high-speed data (8GB of high-speed data if you are on the $45 plan).

Did you also know that you can use your phone as a free mobile hot-spot now on all plans with Boost Mobile, where you can turn your phone into a Wi-Fi hub for up to 10 devices? Great for playing and great for sharing.

You can even have unlimited streaming of music without it affecting your high-speed data allotment, either - especially good for teens who never want to sit in a quiet room if they can help it! If you have Pandora, iHeartRadio, Samsung Milk Music or Stracks then you are good to go - you can find out more about this great news here!

Between the streaming of music, the growing data plans and the phone itself, there is already a lot to keep your child happy with this great, cost-effective phone. The LGK3 costs $79.99 at Boost Mobile, which is a one-time payment and the phone is yours. You just pay the monthly top up fee when you are ready and maintain your plan on time for all the rewards.

The phone itself is one of my current favorites because it is small, fits well in my pocket or stroller cup holder, isn't bulky or fiddly and holds a really good charge. We were actually out yesterday catching Pokemon around the local park and the battery held much better than a previous phone I had tried to play on, which is a nice bonus considering mostly everybody I know right now is playing Pokemon Go, whether they admit it or not!

Personally, I can't find any faults with this phone. The controls are easy to navigate, the brightness is easy to find and alter and the alarm isn't difficult to set, which is a pet peeve of mine if I can't find it within a couple of taps. I like that there is already a flashlight app built into the phone so you don't have to download one separately and there are plenty of features for editing photos or doodling when you want to waste a little time. Of course, what you ultimately end up with on your phone is up to you, depending on what you find at the app store.

Some people prefer the bigger phones, but I love a phone that fits into my pocket and still has enough room to show me what I need to know, which is exactly what this phone does. It has a screen big enough to be comfortable and a body small enough to carry around without feeling bulked down. All in all, the LGK3 is a win, for me!

SoCozy Salon Quality Hair Care Products to Make Your Routine a Well-Oiled Machine for Back to School!

Disclaimer: I was provided with products in exchange for my opinions. Your views may differ to mine. Thank you!

This is a line of salon-quality hair products from SoCozy, which contain none of the following harmful elements:
  • parabens
  • sulfates
  • phthalates
  • synthetic color
  • propylene glycol
  • gluten
  • wheat
  • nuts
I received some products from the Cinch collection, which make washing and styling for the kids easy and manageable in little time and with ease. My daughter especially loves the smell of these and was happy to have me wash and style her hair, which can be a real pain as she has slightly curly, dry hair and so sometimes products can make things worse than better and can sometimes leave her hair a little tangled mess.

The 3in1 is perfect for someone like my daughter who likes to get things done on her own terms and sees 1 bottle for all jobs and thinks that she is going to be done and on with her life when you just show her this bottle instead of shampoo, conditioner and a separate wash! She will let me use other products from this line without arguments, though, mostly because they feel great on her hair and because they do smell quite nice!

I really like the de-tangling spray from this line-up, which makes my daughter much less hesitant to let me brush her hair, now, and which (again) smells so nice that she is happy to have it following her around.

There is also a lice scaring Boo! collection of products, which are extremely practical and a good tool to use when trying to keep those nasty little critters away from your child before they are able to take hold and cause an infestation.

It has been years since I had to deal with lice with my children, but I do remember the days when my son began nursery back in 2010 (or so) and soon ended up with head lice. Those suckers traumatized me for life and I have always combed through everyone's hair in my home ever since.

My step son brought head lice over a couple of years back, which I assume he got from school, but thankfully, seeing as I have been so diligent over the years, we didn't catch them ourselves and for that I was very much grateful!

I don't have an issue with head lice on a personal level, they can survive as best they can, wherever they want to try, just not on my children as they are just so darn pesky and my daughter has a heck of a lot of hair - thankfully we've not had to deal with her getting anything like that, yet, and I am so happy to be using these SoCozy Boo! products to try and make sure it stays that way!

I think that the Boo! collection is by far a top place to start if you are worried about head lice as the kids go back to school in a few weeks. You can work to keep them at bay, while simultaneously keeping your kids' hair well kempt and with a light fragrance, too.

The BOO! collection is not going to thoroughly treat the occurrence of head lice, but it will prevent them from wanting to enter the hair in the first place, and prevention is usually key rather than getting them in the first place, at all!

I love the look of these bottles, but the product inside of them is top-notch and great quality, too. My daughter loves them and is even letting me brush her hair even more now that we have the de-tangler that I mentioned earlier.

These products are available at SoCozy website as well as Target, CVS and a few other places, which you can learn more about, online, too.

You can also find SoCozy on social media at places like Twitter and Facebook if you would like to learn more, and keep up to date with new products, while checking out the current ones.

I have found our bathing routine to be fun and fragrant for everyone this past week and a joyful, tear-less experience for all. So can you! - do let me know what you think in the comments!

Have a wonderful, shiny, day!

End of Week 3 Nutrisystem Results.

Disclaimer: I was provided with products in order to form my own honest opinions. Your views, and results, may differ to mine. Thank you!

So! Here we are - week 3 is over and I have lost a tiny bit of weight this week and am now down to 283lbs! That is a total loss of 15lbs, which I am very satisfied with at this juncture.

I have been diligently following the Nutrisystem plan now since July 5th and I did have a significantly high loss in the first week on the Turbo Take-Off and was prepared for that number to be lower in the weeks that followed, which they have been - but steadily so.

I am very pleased with a pound or two a week as I know this is a long haul and not an overnight fix, which is why I decided to go with Nutrisystem in the first place - rapid weight loss is not particularly smart and I want long-term results that I can maintain, which is exactly what I am getting here as I learn exactly what I need to be eating to keep my body ticking over.

I have been incredibly unwell for part of this week, which is no fault of my own. It is that time of the month and so I expected that to maybe have an impact on this weeks results, but actually it seems that it didn't make too much of an impact in the grand scheme of things at all.

We went to the zoo on Sunday and I must have picked something up there from someone because I was feeling unwell from Sunday to Tuesday, which impacted my motivation and mood, but I still stuck to the plan and carried on with Nutrisystem without any bother because it isn't any extra hard work for me to cook up some veggies, warm up a dinner or grab something from the shelf-stable box and pop it in the oven.

I think my new favorite breakfast item this week has been the cinnamon roll, which was so hot, sticky and delicious with a cup of coffee that I would seriously eat those all day if that was a realistic possibility - I know!

I really enjoyed the burger I had earlier today, too, which tasted amazing and was extremely satisfying. It looked so tasty on the plate and my (youngest) children both wanted to eat it and I had to fight them off after letting them have a small bite each (sharing is caring).

I am starting to feel better, today, which means I should be able to resume some walking and exercise in general tomorrow. I usually am out all over town every day and always have something to do, but I haven't been out since I got sick Sunday, and am subsequently going a little stir-crazy!

I did take the children along to an all you can eat place, this week and I was very sensible and made the meal one of my flex meals. I followed the guide and had the grilled chicken, had them cut it down for me and make it a smaller portion. I loaded up on fresh veggies and did take on board 1 lonesome shrimp - it was battered and I am not about to lose my mojo over a pile of battered shrimp!

I will admit, I did take a tiny bite of a cheesecake and a bit of another dessert and that was about as far of a deviation as I got. I gave the desserts to the kids, who happily ate them for me instead, so win-win for us all. I also stuck to black coffee and water, so I didn't have to worry about all the added extras piling up in front of me.

I am very pleased with myself for not just diving in as a special treat and just the fact I can enjoy the food without limiting myself to a plate of cucumber, is fabulous. I really do love the way I can eat on Nutrisystem.

Week 4 is a go, right now, and I can't believe we've gotten here already. By the time I have my next update I will have been on this plan for a month and it doesn't feel like I have been on any kind of plan at all, it is that easy and I feel very rewarded for little effort on my part.

I look forward to updating you next week, but please feel free to get in touch if you are on Nutrisystem, too - I would love to hear from you. You can also follow #NSNation #NutrisystemSnaps and @Nutrisystem (as well as @GoBronson) across social media, too!

Until next week...

Take The Hassle Out of Whitening with Colgate Optic White Toothbrush + Whitening Pen!

Disclaimer: I was provided with products (by Colgate-Palmolive) in exchange for my honest opinions. Your views may differ to mine!

It is back to school time (already, I know!) and one thing I think we can all agree on is a nice, clean smile for everyone in the home to head out the door with on the first day back.

As a mom of 4 children, I know what it is like to get back in the school game, to have to great other moms with a nice smile and so when I had the chance to try out the Colgate Optic White Toothbrush + Whitening Pen - I couldn't say no.

On my current eating plan I drink a lot of black coffee (I avoid milk where possible) and so my teeth do get pretty stained. I have tried tooth whitening packs where you squirt on the gel then wear mouth guards for a while and shine a blue light on them and what not, but I also have nasal polyps, which makes it really hard for me to breathe when I have those kind of things in my mouth.

For me, Colgate Optic White Toothbrush + Whitening Pen, which can whiten teeth quickly, seemed the perfect solution to not being able to breathe, while attempting to produce myself a better smile in the process.

I have been using Colgate Optic White Toothbrush + Whitening Pen for less than a week but the process is simple. You brush your teeth with your regular toothpaste and brush as directed. When done, you click the bottom of the whitening "pen" and run the gel (that appears at the tip) over your teeth in an even fashion. You don't have to do it long, or at least I don't do it for very long, and it adheres to your teeth without having to do anything else - you just pop it on and you're ready to roll.

Colgate Optic White Toothbrush + Whitening Pen will brighten your teeth for a beautiful smile and I am going to keep using this until I get to the end of the gel, and to see the results for myself. I have already gotten more days into this than I ever did with other products because of the polyps and inability to breathe, so it is definitely a stayer for me.

With specially designed polishing bristles (and cups for whitening), surface stains are helped with removal, while the gel (containing peroxide) provides extra whitening power deeper than the surface.

I am brushed, and ready to get out of the door at any moment, with clean teeth and a pretty smile to win over all those other moms about town for just $14.99 at most mass retailers. Sounds like a pretty good deal to me.

You can find out more about Colgate products across social media and check out the hashtag #DesignerSmile on Twitter and Instagram (@OpticWhite).

I would love to see your results, and hear your comments, too, so don't be shy!

Cool Down with Unilever Ice Creams: July is Ice Cream Month!!

Disclaimer: I was provided with ice cream to give my own opinions. I was not otherwise compensated. Your views may differ from mine.

July is national ICE CREAM month and Unilever have so many different styles and flavors to choose from that there is something out there to satisfy every taste bud.

We headed out to a grocery store on Monday to pick up some of our favorites, which included:

  • Orange Creamsicles
  • Strawberry Shortcake Bars from Good Humor
  • Breyer's Blasts Raspberry Creamsicle
  • Magnum Double Raspberry
  • Reese's Klondike Bars

My kids love to indulge in an ice cream on the porch after a splash in their kid-pool, or while relaxing and watching the world go by. I picked up some waffle cones for pennies and treated them to a delicious Breyer's-filled cone each last night, which they eagerly lapped up and left not a single bite.

My daughter adores the Creamsicles and so we had a hard time choosing between those and the Elsa and Anna/Frozen mini Popsicles, but the Creamsicles eventually won and that is what we came home with,

My oldest son just adores Reese's Peanut Butter EVERYTHING and so the Klondike bars are just what he wanted and my downfall right now are the Double Raspberry Magnum bars, but as I can't include them often in my current eating plan, I know my children are going to be over the moon with those, too!

My husband, who is not a big ice cream eater, still adores the Strawberry Shortcake bars and so those I picked up for him, which means that everyone in the house has something they can enjoy at the drp of a hat, while cooling down in this hot summer sun.

Did you know that Unilever love their cool treats so much that they actually release 17 NEW flavors this year, which means there are EVEN MORE for you to seek out and enjoy, too.

You can find all Unilever brand ice creams in all good grocery stores and bring some home, today - you can also find Good Humor, Magnum, Klondike, Breyer's and Creamsicle (plus aaaaaaaall the other brands in the Unilever range) across social media, far and wide, so seek them out and see what they have in store for your taste buds!

Nutrisystem - Week 2 Results!

Disclaimer: I was provided with Nutrisystem food in exchange for my honest opinions based on my own story and progress. Your views and experiences may differ. Thank you!

Well here we are - the end of week 2 and the beginning of week 3. I can't believe how quickly these last 2 weeks have flown by.

I started out this week eating snacks instead of taking shakes and am no longer on the Turbo Take Off. My weight loss has slowed a little and that is exactly as expected, which is also a healthier speed at which to lose the weight.

I lost 3 more lbs this week, taking me down to 285.4lbs and that brings a total loss to ALMOST 13lbs! (12.6lbs to be exact), which is just so amazing that I can't describe it.

I have not been hungry at all this week, I have allowed myself to mix and match the foods and have tried a couple of flex meals, where I make the meals myself instead. I had lamb and vegetables for the one meal because I had been given a nice bit of lamb and I haven't had lamb in about 7 years, so I couldn't resist. I did stick to a very small portion, though and included everything I needed to make it a proper meal.

I have been following everything else pretty meticulously other than that and have included yogurt into breakfast or milk to a snack via a latte and so on, to get the things I need throughout the course of the day. I am making it work and I feel like I am constantly eating, too. I am really making the effort to keep on a time schedule with the food and putting in exercise and getting my daily dose of water as well.

All in all, I have had a great time trying out the foods and keep coming back to certain favorites like the waffles and pancakes, which I make with scrambled egg in the morning and which I have come to learn to love in smaller portions, which are actually now very satisfying.

I did come across one meal that I didn't like quite as much as the others, this week, which was the meatloaf and potato, but I think that might be because it was a little bland for my tastes. Once I added some non-salt seasoning of various spices, it tasted great, though, so it was totally redeemed and I couldn't really stay away!

I have been preparing foods the night before I need them and made sure to stick to the items i've picked out and not stand at my fridge trying to decide for hours the day of! The fact I just have to get up and go get what I want, without really thinking about it, is really helping - especially because I usually take forever to decide on anything at all, let alone food.

I am looking forward to getting into WEEK 3, so let the eating begin!

Check out all the delicious ways to enjoy Nutrisystem via #NSNation #NutrisystemSnaps and @Nutrisystem on Twitter, too! See you there!

Nutrisystem, Week 2!

I was provided with products to try out Nutrisystem and all comments about the program are my own, based on my own experiences. Your views may differ from mine - Thank you!

This is week 2 of Nutrisystem and I feel like I won a war getting through week 1. It wasn't that the first week was hard, but it was definitely eye-opening in that I really and truly, very clearly, have not (before this) been taking in enough food throughout the day.

A typical side salad I would have on Nutrisystem.

The food that I would consume before Nutrisystem would be breakfast, lunch and dinner, but it wouldn't always happen that way and it would sometimes just be breakfast or dinner and it wouldn't include any snacks - I really am not a snacker and so this is something I have had to really be mindful of and to include those shakes through the day to keep my body ticking over.

I pushed myself to stay on an eating schedule of every 2.5 to 3 hours and that seems to have worked out well for us all seeing as I take my children for breakfast and lunch at certain times and so have managed to work it so that I either eat just before we leave or I box it up to eat with them while they eat, too!

One of the pasta meals from Nutrisystem.

I stuck to the plan, I ate my vegetables. I did sneak in 1 small cookie, but I don't feel like that is going to break the bank when it comes to my goals in their entirety. I didn't beat myself up about it and I actually quite enjoyed it - but definitely did not feel the need for more, which is great.

One KEY thing I would love to suggest, while on Nutrisystem, is to PLATE UP YOUR MEALS! Honestly, it is great having meals you can microwave but I don't own one and so I put all of my meals in the oven in bake-ware instead. It looks so delicious when it comes out of the oven and it really looks and feels like more of a meal than it does when it is presented in the packaging that it comes in. By simply plating up your meal, you forget that this is a plan and start to really feel the portions and enjoy the food without feeling at all restricted - it also looks fabulous to guests, too!

Loaded NS mashed potatoes, with added veg and coffee

I started off last week at a whopping 298lbs and I was not amused with that number, at all. I did as I was told and followed the Turbo Take Off plan for week 1 and I got in all my food, shakes and water and I stood on the scales yesterday to find them reading an AMAZING 288.4lbs!! That is an INCREDIBLE 9.6lbs loss in the first week - something I was not expecting, at all.

I wonder if it is because I have so much to lose that so much was lost in this first week, or if just really paying attention to what I eat and making sure my body is fueled through the day is just the best overall medicine for it. I have really enjoyed the simplicity of the meals, the ability to take lunch on the go and the fact that I just do not have to think about what I am making to eat except to add in vegetables, which I love anyway.

Even on paper plates, this food looks GREAT!

As week 2 has now kicked off, I am thinking harder about my snacks now that there are no shakes to suppliment that part of the day. I have been eating things like strawberries with fat-free cottage cheese and celery for a snack or salmon on wheat crackers for an alternative snack. I have had to bend my head around the idea of what a portion actually should look like and really push myself to reach for the snacks in the first place, but I have done it and I have tried hard to stick to a regular schedule to keep it going in the right direction, too.

A creamy chicken and pasta Nutrisystem entree, with a side salad.

Tomorrow is the farmers' market and I will be heading down there to pick up more delicious vegetables to get me through my meals. I have no problems with this at all as I can't get enough of them in the first place, so what a great reason to go and buy.

Here is my end of week 1 (starting week 2) photo, which I don't think really shows any progress, but I certainly feel a lot better within my own skin and have moved 1 notch on my belt already, which is probably where that entire 9.6lbs went!

I do not expect such a big loss in coming weeks, and I would be so thrilled with 1-3lbs lost per week every week until the end of the 3 months that I will be on this system. If that pans out, and I can stick to it (now that I am adding in snacks and all) then I look forward to seeing those slow, lasting results.

As we are on week 2 now, I have started to add in a 10 minute workout in the morning. I did a 10 minute upper body workout this morning at 5:45am and I was rearing to go afterwards! I really hope to be able to work up to more workouts and more time as the weeks progress and I hope to develop some life-long habits with eating on Nutrisystem and exercising as well!

Roll on week 2 for everyone on this journey with me, and all those looking to get on this train!

Find out more about Nutrisystem at their website and on Twitter and Facebook, as well as across social media with hashtags such as #NSNation and #Nutrisystemsnaps.

Live Without Leaks, with Poise Liners at Sam's Club! #livewithoutleaks

I love shopping at Sam's Club because they basically save enough dollars to make the trip out there worth the while - and you know that a penny saved is a penny earned and something you can put towards something else you might need on a daily basis when saving all you can on essentials!

I have bought Poise® in the past and their liners are particularly wonderful for folk like me who have had a few children and who might not be as sure that they won't experience some kind of an accident once in a while, whether it be a single drop or a little bit more through a laugh, run, jaunt or just through not making it to the bathroom on time.

Usually my downfall is when I've been out around town all day and really need to pee and sometimes almost can't hold it, right as I get to my own front door and whip out the keys to get in the house - why is it always that you can take a long while anywhere else, but as soon as you hit the front door, you suddenly have no idea if you're going to make it!! That sounds like me - though I haven't had a full on accident yet, you just never do know!!

There is definitely no shame in needing some support, or a back up plan (just in case) and  Poise® liners are super thin and absorbent and do the job that some other panty-liners are not necessarily designed to do.  Poise® pads and liners come in a few different sizes and have something to suit most people's needs.

At Sam's Club, right now, you can pick up a pack of  Poise® liners in a 132 count for under $12, which is a super saving considering a single pack (of about 45 or so, I forget the actual figure) is usually about $6.50 in some drug-stores and so you are saving yourself at least $4 when buying in bulk instead - there are usually coupons floating around, too, so you could save even more if you have a frugal finger!

Poise® Liners are not detectable when worn because they are so slim. They aren't invasive or uncomfortable and they do the job they were intended for and not for menstruation or anything else like that - they even stay up to 3 times drier than the leading period pads, imagine that. They simply keep you and your underwear fresh and clean, with little effort and no fuss or frustration.

There's nothing worse than knowing that you might not make it to the bathroom in time and that one or two little drops of LBL (Light Bladder Leakage) is all the difference between confidence and embarrassment, so no need to run that risk anymore!

So, there we have it! I have no reason not to love the convenience and reliability of  Poise® Liners and I am not ashamed, nor am I embarrassed to go out and pick them up should I need to use them! Better to be clean and dry, than a crazy mess somewhere about town, so why not head over to your local Sam's Club and give them a try - become a member and start saving on all the things you need, today.

Membership sign up is easy - it isn't free, but it is affordable and the money you save across the year will soon pay you back in spades (and in real money-savings).

Do you have a story about LBL or how you like to cope with it day-to-day, do you have an inspirational story about being confident in the face of LBL? I'd LOVE to hear from you!

Check out Poise® on social media and Sam's Club, too, with hashtag #livewithoutleaks and through Facbook and Twitter. A pairing for savings to suit every budget.

Go ahead! Live without leaks, too - or at least work around them!

A Typical Day on Nutrisystem Turbo Take-Off (Day 7!)

Disclaimer: I was provided with products to use during the 3 months that I will be on Nutrisystem. All thoughts and opinions are my own, based on my own personal experiences. Your views may differ. Please consult a doctor before entering into any weight loss plan. Thank you.

This is my last day on the Turbo Take-Off week of Nutrisystem. For the past 6 days I have stuck to breakfast, lunch, dinner, 2 shakes and lots of vegetables with lots of water and maybe a cup of decaf coffee here or there. I did have 1 80 calorie greek yogurt last night, when I finally cracked, but I don't feel like that will make too much of a dent, and I don't think that you should completely deprive yourselves if you are truly hungry - just don't be eating a tray of cake (etc) and you'll do just great!

I would like to add that I do like a glass of wine or a beer and I have completely dropped alcohol for the Nutrisystem plan. I have not had alcohol in 10 days now, I have cut out all milk to my tea or coffee, I do not take caffeine in general anyway, and I try to avoid fizzy pop like the plague, so I am sure some of that helps, too. Find out what works for you and you are all set.

Before I share my results (tomorrow), I would like to show you this video of what a typical day on the Turbo Take-Off looks like. I did forget to add in the video that there is also an afternoon shake as well as a mid-morning shake, which is to keep you satisfied through the day when you aren't snacking or eating.

So, without further a-ado, here is what today will look like, for me! (Remember, you should include vegetables, too!).

If this video does not show, or play for you, then you can also find it directly, HERE. Thank you!

Pokemon GO Has Everyone Up and Scouring the Neighborhood! #pokemongo

Everyone is going absolutely crazy for Pokemon Go. If you have no idea what this is, then where have you been hiding? This game, as simple as it is, has been motivating people to get up and go outside all over the country (world!) since it launched earlier this week, and is taking the internet by storm.

Basically, you download the app (for free), install it to your phone, turn on your location services and then walk about aimlessly looking for Pokemon on the streets around where you live, work and visit in the quest to find Pokemon, which you can even view on your screen as if they were present in the real world, via your camera for some great hash-tagged moments on social media.

I had absolutely no intention of downloading this app but, in the interest of keeping up with friends in certain Facebook groups, I did and now I am hooked! What makes it worse is that there is a HUGE park right near us, which seems to have a lot of Pokemon hot spots - plus we live in the city and so there are stops on just about every street corner, too.

I am usually out and about, regardless of this app, but the amount of people I have seen out walking this past few days has definitely increased - there is a Pokemon Gym a stones throw from my house and so there have been people sitting there on and off all day, but I am just a few inches too far away from it in my house to do much with it from inside - noooo!

The fun of the game has everyone in town walking about like zombies, staring at their phones in the usual manner, but sometimes those stares are now accompanied by high-fives and gasps as they find Pokemon and get one-up on their fellow explorers!

I think it is great to see so many people getting in some walking, which can be great exercise, but I am fearful for the muscles in their necks - plus the probability of walking into a post/door/wall etc has surely increased ten-fold, especially for people like me who are accident prone, s stay safe and pay attention if you do decide to play.

I can't help but love this game. Everyone is playing it and it is competitive in the nicest of ways. The kids seems to enjoy walking around and enjoying the sun and harvesting Pokemon all over the place, which keeps conversation going, too.

Just a fun, fit and family-friendly way to spend a nice and sunny day!

Have fun out there, you guys - Gotta Catch 'Em All!

Nutrisystem Week One: We Have Lift-Off!

Disclaimer: I was provided with products in exchange for my honest opinions and trial of the Nutrisystem program. All thoughts are my own, based on my own experiences. Your experiences may differ from mine. Thank you!

I want to lose weight primarily because I want to be fitter for my children, though I want to be more energetic and motivated for my own sake, too!

I do feel as though I am already eating pretty healthily, but just need a step in the right direction with portions, extra meals through the day and keeping things going, which is something I do struggle with because I do not have the time to eat so much when running around all day on the go.

Now, however, is time for me to get back to looking out for myself, with the help of the food provided by Nutrisystem - a system that alleviates some of the time it can take to prepare your own meals through the day, and which also provides balance and nutrition that you may otherwise lack when you just don't have the time to prepare a balanced snack or meal.

Nutrisystem breakfast muffin and plain black coffee.

I am 6 foot tall and in no rush to become skinny, but I would like to become a slimmer version of myself and lose about 78lbs over the next year or so - with about 24-30lbs of that from the next 3 months with Nutrisystem, if I am lucky enough to do so.

The first week is a week of what is called Turbo Takeoff! You are basically given breakfast, lunch and dinner, plus 2 shakes where you would normally eat snacks and you add 4 portions of vegetables yourself throughout the day. On top of this, water is important, too, with 64 oz of water the ideal intake for this plan - with my rise of water intake already up there since I switched out from drinking so much coffee, I am sure the water is one goal I can most definitely accomplish!

SO! Without further ado. Here I am: Week 1. 298lbs and today marks the start of my 3 month journey with Nutrisystem!

Good luck to everyone else on board! #wegotthis
