Nutrisystem Week One: We Have Lift-Off!

I want to lose weight primarily because I want to be fitter for my children, though I want to be more energetic and motivated for my own sake, too!


I do feel as though I am already eating pretty healthily, but just need a step in the right direction with portions, extra meals through the day and keeping things going, which is something I do struggle with because I do not have the time to eat so much when running around all day on the go.

Now, however, is time for me to get back to looking out for myself, with the help of the food provided by Nutrisystem - a system that alleviates some of the time it can take to prepare your own meals through the day, and which also provides balance and nutrition that you may otherwise lack when you just don't have the time to prepare a balanced snack or meal.

I am 6 foot tall and in no rush to become skinny, but I would like to become a slimmer version of myself and lose about 78lbs over the next year or so - with about 24-30lbs of that from the next 3 months with Nutrisystem, if I am lucky enough to do so.

The first week is a week of what is called Turbo Takeoff! You are basically given breakfast, lunch and dinner, plus 2 shakes where you would normally eat snacks and you add 4 portions of vegetables yourself throughout the day. On top of this, water is important, too, with 64 oz of water the ideal intake for this plan - with my rise of water intake already up there since I switched out from drinking so much coffee, I am sure the water is one goal I can most definitely accomplish!

SO! Without further ado. Here I am: Week 1. 298lbs and today marks the start of my 3 month journey with Nutrisystem!
