The New Year is here and, while the end of 2016 was rocky (at best) it is never too late to start making changes to get things going in the right direction.
I started with Nutrisystem in 2016 and have so far lost about 1/3 of the weight I would like to lose and there is still a road ahead that I am still happy to travel.

Life isn't always good, and sometimes it can get really tough to focus on food, so when I lost my grandfather (at the end of last year) and then had holidays, food and drink to contend with, while being so far from friends and family, it was a little bit rough and I did slip a little (though not as much as I could have, thank goodness).
Overall, though, I am proud that I stuck to Nutrisystem for the most part - I ate a bigger Christmas dinner than I was planning on and I have indulged a bit here and there and with everything else that was going on, didn't really mind, when I probably should have made some better decisions.

That all being said, I only gained 2lbs over Christmas and that is actually pretty decent! I would like to have not gained, at all, but I can't blame anyone but myself because it wasn't anyone else's fault that I got lazy and also ate a bit more than I should have while I was feeling pretty crappy about life, but is definitely on me and I can turn that around.
I have been sticking to my Nutrisystem breakfasts and I have enjoyed my lunches and dinners, too, and a Nutrisystem dinner was even on the menu for New Year's Eve. - I even went to bed early and would have completely missed 2017 rolling in if it wasn't for all the fireworks that woke me up in the middle of the night!
This cold air is making it easy for me to make excuses not to exercise but I just picked up some new DVDs to get me moving at home - zero excuses! Time to go!

One question that some people do ask me is "are you not bored of this yet?" and the answer really is "NO, I'm not". I actually have been able to figure out which foods I prefer as time goes on and have planned my menu to suit that. There are so many choices that it is easy to pick and choose and I really enjoy making the meals I make for myself a couple of times a week, too. It has been so much easier to stick to than anything else i've tried in the past - anything else and i'd have been completely done by now, so I am definitely happy.
2017 is going to be my year. No one else is going to be responsible for me. It can be your year too!
